Western Heights used a long scoring drive and a big play to lock down a 14-0 win over the Fightin' Chick freshmen last night at Memorial Stadium.

Rakee Stevenson got the home crowd going on the second play of the game, scooping up a Jet fumble and racing about forty yards for a score, but a flag brought it back and a bad snap five plays later gave Western Heights possession inside their thirty. Six minutes and ten plays later, Eli Haley's 33-yard pass to Naman Pettway got them on the board and the deuce put them up 8-0 with five minutes left in the half.

Chance Thomas took over at quarterback and moved the Chick offense down the field quickly and crisply. A muffed handoff on a third-and-one at the Jett eleven killed the drive, however, and the Jets gladly took an 8-0 lead to the half.

After trading possessions to open the third quarter, Chickasha got another solid drive going but it stalled at the WH4 45. The Jets took over on downs and on their second play from scrimmage, Gary Dodson found a seam into the secondary and ripped off a 48-yarder to put them up by fourteen. Chickasha got two more shots in the fourth quarter, but the Jet secondary hung back and picked Thomas off on both to hang on for the win. The Chick freshmen will wrap up their season on Oct 23 hosting Duncan.
