Fifth-ranked Verden will head east later this week in their bid for a fall baseball title.
The second-seeded Tigers will play their Class A regional at Dale High School, opening with #10 Ripley at 4 p.m. Friday in the second game of the day.
The top-ranked and host Pirates will play unranked and fourth-seeded Hydro-Eakly at 2 p.m. and the two winners will square off at 6 p.m. Friday for the first of two tickets to state.
Should Verden lose to Ripley, they’ll play Saturday at 2 p.m. and, with a win, at 4 p.m.. If they beat Ripley and lose in Friday’s 6 p.m. game, they’ll play Saturday at 4 p.m. for the second slot at state.
Dale is on Route 102 just north of I-40 between McLoud and Shawnee. The quickest, most direct route is to take I-240 out east past Crossroads Mall and Tinker AFB and merge onto I-40 just west of Choctaw. Continue east approximately 12 miles on I-40 to Exit 178 and go north on Route 102 to Dale. Allow about an hour and fifteen minutes’ driving time.
