The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma softball team knows its destination for the upcoming NAIA Opening Round.

The NAIA made its announcements Tuesday, and the Drovers were named a No. 1 seed in Dodge City, Kansas. The Opening Round is scheduled to begin Monday.

USAO enters play with a record of 52-1 on the season. The Drovers started the season 52-0 before dropping their only game of the season to Oklahoma City University in the championship game of the conference tournament.

USAO did win the Sooner Athletic Conference in the regular season, going 36-0 in SAC play. The Drovers are looking to defend their 2018 national championship.

USAO’s first game will be against No. 4 seed Avila University. The Eagles enter play with a record of 29-16 on the season. Avila lost in the championship game of its conference tournament after earning the No. 1 seed during play in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The University of Houston-Victoria is the No. 2 seed in the bracket and enters the tournament with a record of 31-10 on the season. The Jaguars won the Red River Athletic Conference regular-season title.

USAO defeated UHV 6-4 earlier this season.

Bellevue University is the No. 3 seed in the bracket and enters tournament play with a record of 44-18. The Bruins finished second in the North Star Athletic Association regular season and conference tournament.
