The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's soccer team was picked by coaches to win the Sooner Athletic Conference in a preseason SAC poll.

The USAO men joined the USAO women in being picked by coaches to finish first in the conference. The Drovers earned 76 points in the poll released Wednesday and earned five first-place votes from the coaches.

The closest program to USAO in the poll was Mid-America Christian University. MACU earned 67 points and three first-place votes from the coaches.

USAO finished second in the conference last season with a 6-1-2 conference record. 

The Drovers advanced to the championship match of the conference tournament, ending their season with a loss to MACU in penalty kicks. The Drovers ended the season with a record of 14-3-3.

The Drovers last won the conference's regular-season title in 2015, going 9-0 in conference play that season.

USAO's last title in the conference tournament came in 2015. The Drovers defeated Southwestern Christian University for the tournament title that season and advanced to the national tournament.

For the team's overall performance last season, USAO coach Jimmy Hampton was named SAC Coach of the Year in 2018.
