The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma baseball team began the 2020 season last week.

The Drovers traveled to San Antonio, Texas, to take on the Saints of Our Lady of the Lake University in a series that consisted of three games. USAO took the first two games of the series and dropped the third game.

USAO outscored OLLU 17-5 in the first two games before dropping a 9-2 decision in the final game of the series. The Drovers won the first two games by scores of 5-3 and 12-2.

The Drovers entered the season ranked third in the country in the NAIA's preseason poll, voted on by coaches across the country. USAO was No. 3 in the NAIA's postseason poll in 2019.

USAO also entered the season with high expectations in conference play. Coaches across the Sooner Athletic Conference picked the Drovers to win another conference championship in 2020 in the conference's preseason poll.

The Drovers were picked by coaches to finish ahead of Oklahoma City University. In 2019, USAO won the conference during the regular season and won the conference tournament.

USAO also won the conference tournament in 2018. The Drovers also had the best conference record during the 2018 regular season, tied with OCU.
