The sweep is complete.
Playing three games at Bill Smith Ballpark in Chickasha, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma baseball team won the tournament championship in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Prior to winning the tournament championship, the Drovers also claimed the regular-season crown with a 24-3 conference record.
USAO was the only undefeated team in the tournament after all was said and done, so it was able to claim first place and complete the sweep. The Drovers were dominant in their tournament games, outscoring opponents 51-11.
The Drovers started off tournament play Sunday with a pair of big victories. USAO took down Southwestern Assemblies of God University 16-6 and Southwestern Christian University 13-2.
The Drovers met SAGU again on Tuesday and won by an even larger margin than the 16-6 victory. The Drovers ended up with a 22-3 victory in the game.
And with Oklahoma City University losing to Texas Wesleyan University, the Drovers were able to complete the SAC sweep.
Another milestone was reached at the conference tournament with head coach Mike Ross reaching 400 career victories.
As a team, the Drovers now have 43 wins this season and have won 22 games in a row. The Drovers have not lost a game since March 26.
