Thursday’s thunderstorms caused a postponement of most of the scheduled games at Chickasha High School's Washita Valley Classic baseball tournament.

The first games at Elliott Field and Bill Smith Ballpark finished before the storms blew in but everything else was washed out. Marlow scored two runs in the home sixth to edge out Lawton High 3-2 at Elliott and Duncan run-ruled Western Heights 13-3 at Bill Smith.

The remaining schedule has been re-bracketed to allow the tourney to finish up on Saturday as originally planned. Four games will be played at Elliott Field today and two have been moved to Anadarko High School.

Woodard and Altus will play at Elliott at 1 p.m., followed by Chickasha and Altus at 3:15 p.m., McGuiness and Marlow at 5:30 p.m. and finishing up with Chickasha and Lawton Ike at 7:45 p.m.

El Reno and Leedey will play at Anadarko at 11 a.m. and Ike and Anadarko will hook it up at 1:30 p.m..

Altus and Western Heights will play the last pool play game at Elliott at 9 p.m. Saturday morning. The outcome will determine the last of the top six teams to play in the three “placing” games, which will pick up after lunch and finish Saturday night. The starting times are projected to be 2 p.m. for third place, 4:30 p.m. for second and 7 p.m. for first place.
