Chickasha’s Fightin’ Chick football team started the final week of spring practice Monday. High school football teams are allowed 10 practice days in the spring. Brandon Boyd is expected to be one of the top receivers on the 2007 team. Boyd, Colten Santos, Joe Euwins, Johnathan Skinner and several others will be on the receiving end of a lot of passes if Wyatt Kinnamon has his way. Kinnamon’s size (6’5” and about 220 pounds), speed and arm strength have drawn the attention of several high level college programs. He has gotten early looks from Kansas State, New Mexico and many others. He was also named one of the top 400 players in the nation. He will compete for one of 80 spots in the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
