With five games remaining in their season, Amber-Pocasset softball improved to 15-6 with a 4-3 win over Class 2A Hinton on Monday.

The Lady Panthers are now ranked second in the Class A OSSAA rankings ahead of a trip to Elmore City-Pernell on Thursday. They have won three of their last four games, including a 12-1 win over Alex and a 9-5 victory over 4A Anadarko.

Another team on the rise in softball is Minco, who cracked the top 20 in Class 2A with a 2-0 win against Community Christian on Monday. The Lady Bulldogs' winning run stretches back eight games to Aug. 29 and includes a 13-1 win against Class B Verden. They face a stern test tonight against the third-ranked team in Class A, Central Marlow. 

In Class 4A, Tuttle got back to winning ways with a 7-0 win over Western Heights on Monday. They were scheduled to play Chickasha tonight, but that game was moved to Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. The Lady Tigers are ranked second in Class 4A with a 20-3 record.

Blanchard has fallen to 10th in the 4A rankings after a Monday night loss to Pauls Valley 4-7. They have a chance to rebound against Anadarko before taking part in the OK Shootout tournament starting Friday.
