Six Chickasha turnovers and a heavy dose of Quinn Anderson (33) helped the Western Heights JV take home a 31-6 road win in last night's second game. Anderson rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns as the Jets controlled both sides of the ball and most of the game.

Daniel Ramirez had a big night for the Chicks with 98 rushing yards but never hit paydirt. Turnovers killed six Chick scoring drives and never gave them a chance to get into the game.

Chickasha's only score came from way up top…Chance Thomas' twenty-one yard lob to the end zone with two minutes left in the first half. It was a jump ball and almost turnover number seven…the Jet safety actually had his hands on it first, but Joe Euwins stripped him in mid-air and came down with it for six.

The score cut WH's lead in half at 12-6 but they answered immediately with a 42-yard strike from Waylon Botkin to Omar Estrada and led 18-6 at intermisson.

Another turnover led to Anderson's second touchdown, a thirteen-yard spurt early in the third quarter. Ramirez and Cameron Tuthill broke through and smothered the PAT but the Jets were out to 24-6.

Ramirez' 27-yard kickoff return set the Chicks up in Jet territory but another turnover gave them the ball right back at midfield. They kept the ball on the ground, chewing up yardage and clock, and made it 31-6 with just under six minutes left.

Chickasha moved the ball up the field quickly but ran out of time in Western Heights territory and driving.

Coming up for the JV team will be a visit from Lawton High next Monday.
