The Minco Bulldogs and Alex Longhorns have combined to win 14 games in a row.
The two teams have been rolling along during their current win streaks, having won 11 of those 14 games by double digits. Minco has won nine games in a row and is 9-0 this season. Alex is 6-2 on the season and has won its last five games.
Minco moved to 5-0 in District A-3 after its win over Christian Heritage Academy last week. The Bulldogs defeated the Crusaders 35-19 and are 9-0 during their off week before the final week of the regular season.
Minco opened the season with three single-digit victories in a row, but the Bulldogs have won their last six games by double figures. The Bulldogs scored more than 30 points in all six of those games.
Minco does not play again until Nov. 8 at Cashion in a Class A showdown. Cashion is also undefeated this season.
As for Alex, the Longhorns have won every game of their win streak by double figures and picked up a 54-6 win over Carnegie last week. Alex has scored at least 50 points in all five victories during the streak and all six of its victories this season.
All six of Alex's victories this season have been by at least 46 points. The Longhorns have outscored opponents 292-44 the last five games.
The Longhorns are also 3-0 in District B-3 after their win. Alex and the Burns Flat-Dill City Eagles are the only two teams without a loss in that district.
Alex and BF-DC are scheduled to meet Nov. 8 in Alex.
Alex is scheduled to host Cyril on Friday in search of its sixth win in a row.
Tuttle won its second game in a row with an 18-14 win over Blanchard last week. Dibble won its second-straight game with a 35-6 win over Healdton.
Chickasha was the only other area team to win last week.
Rush Springs, Bridge Creek and Cyril all lost their games.
