For the second week in a row, area football teams combined for a winning week.

Including Chickasha, area football teams went 5-3 last week. Four of the five winners won by at least two touchdowns.

The Chickasha Fightin’ Chicks went on the road and defeated the Marlow Outlaws 20-7 to move to 1-0 on the season. The Chickasha defense forced multiple turnovers in the victory over the Outlaws.

The Tuttle Tigers’ win streak is still alive after a 41-18 win over Kingfisher last week to get to 2-0 on the season. Going back to last season, the Tigers have won 16 games in a row.

Tuttle opened the season with a 41-7 win over Newcastle.

Like Tuttle, the Minco Bulldogs are 2-0 on the season. Minco defeated another area opponent last week, picking up a 14-6 win over the Dibble Demons.

Minco defeated Wynnewood in its season opener. Dibble fell to 1-1 on the season and defeated the Chickasha JV in its season opener.

The Bridge Creek Bobcats have matched their win total from last season. They defeated Little Axe 44-24 last week.

The fifth team to win last week was Cyril. The Pirates moved to 1-0 on the season with a 58-12 win over Corn Bible Academy.

Alex made a long trip to Laverne and fell 28-22. Blanchard suffered a 35-20 loss to Elgin to go along with Dibble’s loss to Minco.

Rush Springs was off last week.
