Two area teams remain in the Class A playoffs.
The Dibble Demons and Minco Bulldogs hosted first-round games last week and came away with victories. Dibble defeated Crossings Christian 28-20, and Minco picked up a 41-7 win over Elmore City-Pernell.
Both teams are scheduled to play road games Friday. Dibble is scheduled to play at Mangum, and Minco is scheduled to play Thomas-Fay-Custer.
Dibble enters its matchup with Mangum with a record of 9-2. The Demons have won four games in a row after a loss to Ringling during the regular season.
Dibble’s win over Crossings Christian in the first round was the Demons’ second playoff win in the past three seasons. Dibble is looking to win a second playoff game in a season for the first time since 2011.
Mangum enters the matchup with a record of 10-1 on the season. The Tigers won District A-2 and only lost a 41-40 game to Hobart during the regular season. Mangum has won its last five games and defeated Mooreland in the first round of the playoffs.
With their win last week, the Minco Bulldogs extended their streak of seasons with at least one playoff victory. Minco has won a playoff game seven seasons in a row.
The Bulldogs are now 10-1 on the season.
Thomas enters the matchup with an 8-3 record on the season. The Terriers defeated Sayre in the first round of the playoffs last week and won District A-1.
