Chickasha's girls place fourth and the boys place fifth at the Perry Tournament last weekend. Perry, Blackwell, Hominy, Mt. St. Mary, Pryor, Stillwater and US Grant rounded out a competitive field.

The girls all played on Friday.

Courtney Angel placed fourth in #1 singles. She won her first match defeating Pryor in straight sets 6-2 and 6-4 to advance to the winners' bracket. She then lost to Hominy and Stillwater.

Whitney Brown placed second in #2 singles. She defeated Blackwell by a score of 6-2 and 6-0 in the first round to advance to the winners' bracket. In her next match, Brown defeated Pryor in three sets 6-2, 5-7 and 6-3. In the finals, she was defeated by US Grant in straight sets 1-6 and 1-6 for a second-place finish.

Chickasha's #1 doubles team of Bree Bonagofsky and Jessica Hartline fell to Pryor in their first match to move to the losers' bracket. In their next match they defeated Mt. St. Mary in three sets 4-6, 6-1 and 6-2. They moved on to play for winner of the losers' bracket where they defeated Hominy by scores of 6-0 and 6-0 to place fifth in the tournament.

The #2 doubles team of Tiffany Cook and Heather Brock were defeated by Perry, Hominy and Pryor and finished eighth.

Chickasha's boys took the courts on Saturday and placed fifth in a field that included Perry, Cleveland, Hominy, Mt. St. Mary, Pryor, Stillwater, and Stillwater's JV.

Alex Gatley placed fourth in #1 singles. He defeated Perry in the first round by a score of 6-3 and 6-3. In his next match, he was defeated by Cleveland by a score of 7-5 and 6-3. Gatley was then defeated by Mt. St. Mary to place fourth.

Ray Castro placed fifth in #2 singles. In his first match, Castro was defeated by Stillwater then drew a bye in the second round. In the third round, he defeated Hominy by a score of 6-4, 3-6 and 7-6 (7-1).

Kyle Buckner and Ben Still placed seventh in #1 doubles. In their first match, they were defeated by Hominy and moved to the losers' bracket.

Then they were defeated by Mt. St. Mary.

In their final match of the day, they defeated Cleveland in straight sets 6-3 and 6-2.

The #2 doubles team of Heath Pratt and Dylan Myers were defeated in a three-setter by Mt. St. Mary in the first round. In their second round, they were defeated by Pryor.

In their final round, they defeated Cleveland by a score of 6-0, 1-6 and 6-1 to place fifth in the tournament.
