The Chickasha softball team stepped up on a night meant to honor the team's three seniors.

The Lady Chicks picked up a 4-1 victory over Putnam City North at Elkouri Field in Chickasha on Tuesday, moving to 22-9 on the season. Valerie Inghram, Lexi McElroy and Gracie Weber are the three seniors on the roster.

Inghram got the Chickasha offense going in the first inning with two outs. Her double kept the inning alive and helped Chickasha score two runs. 

Inghram scored on an error, and Leighanne Eaton recorded the first of her two RBI singles to give Chickasha a 2-0 lead.

Chickasha did not score again until the bottom of the fifth inning, but the defense was able to shut down the PC North offense. 

Only two PC North players reached base through six innings. Allison Couch pitched six of the seven innings, allowing just two hits and striking out four batters to earn the victory in the circle.

Lexi Albright reached base in the fifth inning and eventually crossed home plate with the help of the PC North defense. She gave the Lady Chicks a 3-0 lead.

Eaton delivered a second RBI single in the sixth inning to complete the scoring for the Lady Chicks. Eaton went 2-for-3 at the plate with those two RBIs to lead the Lady Chick offense.

PC North's only run of the game came in the top half of the seventh.
