Three Chickasha soccer players recently received All-State recognition.
The Oklahoma Soccer Coaches Association recently announced rosters for the upcoming All-State matches. The Lady Chicks had one player named to the 4A West roster, while the boys had two players named to the roster.
The Class 4A matches are scheduled to take place June 15 at Moore High School. The girls are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The boys will play after the girls.

For the boys, Axel Avila and Chase Novotny were the two players to earn All-State recognition. Avila was named as a forward, and Novotny was listed as a defender.
Novotny scored two goals in a match against Classen SAS during the regular season. He also scored a goal in Chickasha's dominant win over Christian Heritage Academy in the team's previous match.
In Chickasha's dominant district victory over Cordell, Avila scored two goals within the first 10 minutes of the match.

Chickasha also won the title in its home tournament.
Chickasha is not the only area school to have representation on an All-State roster. Bridge Creek's Elizabeth Toal was named to the 4A West roster. She was named as a defender.
