The Chickasha swim teams' seasons have officially started.

Chickasha hosted Marlow, Bethany and Putnam City on Tuesday at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha and had several strong finishes.

On the girls' side, Bre Cason finished second in the 100 freestyle and fifth in the 50 freestyle. Avery Jones finished second in the 100 butterfly and third in the 100 breaststroke. Jennifer Veach took second in the 50 freestyle and fourth in the 100 backstroke.

Abigail Hood finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke.

In the relay races, the combination of Veach, Hood, Cason and Jones finished third in the 200 IM and third in the 200 freestyle.

On the boys' side of things, Logan Southwell finished third in the 50 freestyle. Kaleb Shearer finished third in the 400 freestyle and fourth in the 100 breaststroke.

Gavin Johnston finished fourth in the 100 backstroke, and Nathan Gillis finished fifth in the 50 freestyle.

The combination of Johnston, Shearer, Gillis and Thunder Bowman placed fifth in the 200 IM relay and third in the 200 freestyle relay.
