Chickasha's Juan DeLeon looks to get around a defender during a match from the regular season.

The Chickasha soccer team is scheduled to begin playoff action this week, and a change has been made to the schedule released by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.

Matches in the first round are scheduled to take place on Friday barring any changes. According to Jerry Don Bray, Chickasha will now play Thursday at 6 p.m. in Oklahoma City.

The Fightin' Chicks finished fourth in District 4A-1 during the regular season with a district record of 3-4. By finishing fourth in District 4A-1, Chickasha has to play the top team from District 4A-4 in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs.

Chickasha will be on the road Thursday taking on Crooked Oak High School. Crooked Oak went undefeated in district play to advance to the playoffs and earn the opportunity to play at home in the playoffs.

The Bridge Creek girls also advanced to the playoffs after finishing third in District 4A-3. Bridge Creek is scheduled to travel to Weatherford. Weatherford finished second in 4A-2.
