Chickasha powerlifting recently had success at regional and state meets last week in Anadarko.

The high school team ended up finishing second at the regional meet, according to Joe Molder. Several athletes are now scheduled to compete at state in El Reno on Friday.

Ben Bowens finished first at 157 pounds and was named an MVP, according to Molder.

Lloyd Givens finished third at 242 pounds. Noah Flores, Isaac Lee, and Tyron Sanders each finished fourth in their weight classes. Devin Stubbs finished fifth in his division to qualify for state.

Cale Crawford received an at-large berth to the state meet, according to Molder.

The Chickasha Middle School team competed at the state meet last week, according to Molder.

Kayson Paukei, Ty Rayburn and Malachi Paukei all finished first in their divisions. Molder said that Kayson Paukei was named MVP. 

Ramsey Jantzen finished third at state, while Christian Crawford, Keeden Miller, Malek Murphy and Flores finished fourth.

Steven Mays finished fifth for the Chicks.
