Tuttle's Madi Surber and Chickasha's Jazmyn Murry compete in the 100-meter hurdles at Chickasha's track meet Thursday.

Chickasha High School hosted its annual track meet Thursday.

The track meet featured several area schools inside Memorial Stadium in Chickasha, and multiple area schools had success at the meet. The Tuttle Lady Tigers took the top spot at the meet, while the Tuttle boys and Blanchard girls each finished third.

The Tuttle girls ended up with 140 points, finishing 25 points ahead of second-place Altus. The Chickasha girls ended up with 13 points on the day.

Tuttle had multiple first-place finishes on the day. One of those first-place finishes came in the 100-meter hurdles, and that event had Tuttle, Chickasha and Blanchard take spots one through four.

Tuttle’s Madi Surber took first in the event, finishing with a time of 16.68 seconds. Chickasha’s Jazmyn Murry was not far behind in second place. She earned eight of her team’s 13 points by finishing second with a time of 16.74.

Chickasha’s 4x100-meter relay team finished fifth, and DeMyra Foster took sixth in the 100-meter dash to round out the scoring for the girls.

In other individual events for the Lady Tigers, Hallie Ann Sheffield took first place in the 3200-meter run and the 1600-meter run. Rylan Dooner took first place in the pole vault. Tuttle also had two first-place finishes in the relays.

Tuttle’s boys also had multiple first-place finishes to help them finish third at the track meet. As for Chickasha, Isaac Lee earned the team’s lone point with a sixth-place finish in the shot put.
