A new basketball coach has been hired at Chickasha.
Confirmed by board clerk Christal Johnson-Bates, Carol Craven was approved at Tuesday's board meeting to lead the Lady Chick basketball program.
Craven will take the helm of the program from Sheila Sanders. Sanders spent two seasons leading the program after taking over for Kirk Reimers.
Craven will look to rebuild a program that has not had a winning season in a few years. Chickasha's last winning season came in the 2015–16 season. The Lady Chicks advanced to the area tournament that season.
Chickasha has been eliminated in the regional tournament the past three seasons.
More on this story to come in the future.
