Lady Titans win 9-0 to advance in playoffs.

The 2006 Lady Chicks made it back to the post-season this year but their run was a short one. The fourth-seeded Chicks got to go on the road to top-seeded Carl Albert and lost 9-0 to end their season.

Chickasha played 80 minutes of prevent defense as the Lady Titans teed off on them with and without the wind advantage. Junior keeper Jessika Kulhanek kept the Chicks in the match with 10 first-half saves and five in the second half before being relieved by freshman Amy Witt with 18 minutes left.

The Titans played almost the entire match on Chickasha's half and peppered 34 shots on the Lady Chick defense. They bent a lot, broke some but never quit battling.

Sarah King finished with a hat trick for Carl Albert, scoring back-to-back goals in the tenth and eleventh minute of the first half to break the ice, then getting number three in the third minute of the second half. Brittany Walker finished with a goal late in the first half and a pair of assists to King and Sheridan Horner scored on two headers off corners in the sixth and fourteenth minute of the second half. Hannah Moore, Christi Cruz and Kelsey Ramig each had one to round out the scoring.

Chickasha's offense had to play defense all night and had no shots on goal. The first time keeper Kayla Moore touched the ball was to pick up a long floater out of the back halfway into the second half. After receiving some applause from the Carl Albert faithful, she was pulled for freshman backup Rachel Russell.

The Titans emptied their bench with 10 minutes left and just ran out the clock for the big win, extending their record to 14-1.

Jim Hammons' young team took their lumps down the stretch, finishing at 6-8, but gained a lot of big-match experience that will make them a better team next year.
