Football players of all ages in Chickasha have an opportunity to get involved in upcoming camps. 


A quarterback/receiver camp takes place from 9-10:30 a.m. for players entering grades 5-8 and 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. for going into grades 9-12 on June Tuesday through Thursday. 


Cost of the camp is $25. 


That will be followed by  the Summer Pride, which runs from June 20-23. The high school session will run from 7:45-9:15 a.m., which will be followed by a session for players entering grades 7-9 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. 


Campers are to wear shorts, T-shirts, cleats or running shoes.  


There will be instruction in individual techniques for linebackers, defensive lineman, offensive lineman, secondary, running backs, team offense, team defense and kicking.

The second portion of the 25th annual Brisco McPherson Basketball Camp, hosted by the USAO men’s head coach with the same name, will take place June 27-July 1.


The mini camp, for ages 6 through 11, is a three-hour session that will focus on the basic understandings of the sport and strengthening fundamentals. The mini camp is offered both sessions and is $60.

Girls Basketball


There's another opportunity for girls to get better in basketball.  


The Drover Basketball Girl’s Camp with USAO women's coach Laci Tompkins, which will be taking place June 20-23 at the Drover Fieldhouse. 


The camp is designed to focus on improving girls’ overall basketball skills including ball handling, dribbling, passing, shooting and team play.


The cost of the camp is $70 for players between third and 12th grade and $45 for kindergarten through second.


Both camp fees include a T-shirt. In addition to McPherson and Tompkins, campers will be instructed by USAO’s assistant coaches and select members of the basketball teams.
