Rush Springs girls are a win away from area after winning in the regional consolation bracket on Friday.
The Lady Redskins defeated Central High (Marlow), 45-34. They will face either Healdton or county rivals Minco at Central on Saturday in a 2A Area III consolation final.
Minco defeated Northeast Academy, 56-40, on Thursday night to advance in the consolation bracket. They were sent there by Rush Springs in the first place when the Lady Redskins won the battle for District 7.
Amber-Pocasset girls are done for the season after falling to Sayre, 38-21, on Thursday. Dibble girls subsequently beat Sayre on Friday, 34-30, to advance to a regional consolation final.
On the boys' side, Am-Po beat Sayre to reach the consolation semifinals in Area III. Minco boys are out after they were beaten by Allen, 68-58, on Thursday.
In 4A, the Blanchard girls are through to area after defeating Kingfisher on Thursday. They face Elgin on Saturday in the regional final.
Wins for Tuttle and Bridge Creek girls on Thursday night kept them in the state hunt.
The Tuttle boys lost to Douglass, 48-31, on Thursday and will face John Marshall late on Friday to remain alive in the postseason. They may face local rivals Blanchard, who also lost on Thursday.
The Lions played Elgin in an elimination game on Friday.
