Area basketball teams remain in the latest polls released by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association earlier this week.
Multiple area teams made appearances in the top 10 of their respective classes this week.
For the girls, the Amber-Pocasset Lady Panthers stayed at No. 7 in this week's 2A poll. The Lady Panthers received 1,012 points and defeated Wynnewood on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers enter the Velma-Alma Comet Classic with a 4-1 record.
The Tuttle Lady Tigers are ranked in the top 10 in Class 4A once again. Tuttle stayed at No. 9 this week, earning 541 points. The Lady Tigers opened the season Tuesday with a win over Clinton and entered Latta's tournament with a 1-0 record.
The Cyril Lady Pirates moved up to No. 13 this week. Cyril received 496 points in the Class A poll and enters Binger-Oney's tournament with a 3-0 record on the season.
For the boys, Minco is ranked fourth in Class 2A. The Bulldogs received four first-place votes and 1,142 points. Minco enters its own tournament with a 3-0 record.
The Am-Po Panthers are ranked 19th in Class A after receiving 206 points. Am-Po enters tournament play with a 4-1 record on the season after a win over Wynnewood on Tuesday.
The Cyril Pirates stayed in the top five in Class A this week. Ranked No. 4, the Pirates received 15 first-place votes and 1,147 points. Cyril enters tournament play with a 3-0 record.
Cyril beat 3A No. 5 Riverside earlier this week.
In Class 4A, Tuttle is ranked 15th after receiving 277 points. The Tigers fell to Clinton in their season opener and enter tournament play with an 0-1 record.
