The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association has released its first set of basketball polls.

Several teams — girls and boys — find themselves in the top 20 of their respective classes in the OSSAA polls.

For the girls, the Amber-Pocasset Lady Panthers are one of two area teams ranked in the top 10. The Lady Panthers are ranked seventh in Class 2A after receiving 765 points in the poll. Am-Po is just two points behind No. 6 Silo.

Tuttle is the other area team ranked in the top 10. The Lady Tigers received 388 points and are ranked ninth in Class 4A, one point behind No. 8 Weatherford.

Tuttle is not the only team ranked in Class 4A. The Blanchard Lady Lions are ranked 18th and received 154 points.

The Cyril Lady Pirates received 363 points in Class A and are ranked 16th in the class.

For the boys, Minco is the highest-ranked team in the area and one of two area teams ranked in the top 10. The Bulldogs are ranked third in Class 2A after receiving two first-place votes and 928 points.

Defending Class A state champion Cyril started its season ranked fifth in Class A. Cyril received Class A’s most first-place votes (17) and 963 points to be placed at No. 5.

The Tuttle Tigers are also ranked, joining the Lady Tigers. Tuttle is ranked 13th in Class 4A, receiving 294 points.
