Am-Po

Caton Muncy runs around the bases after a home run during the spring season.

After winning the conference and making a run to the state title game, the Amber-Pocasset softball team raked in several Grady County Conference honors.

To go along with six All-Conference selections for the spring season, Am-Po swept the honors for MVP and Coach of the Year.

Head coach Erick Muncy received the honor for Coach of the Year. The Lady Panthers took home the conference title and beat Union City in the championship of the Grady County Tournament.

Am-Po's junior high also won the conference, helping complete the sweep.

In high school, the Lady Panthers advanced all the way to the Class 3A state title game, defeating two teams ranked higher than them along the way. Am-Po defeated Strother and Rattan before falling to Navajo in the title game, Am-Po's second after winning the state title in the fall.

Caton Muncy was named MVP of the conference to go along with being named to the All-Conference team for the spring. Her walk-off home run at the state tournament kept Am-Po's season alive and sent the Lady Panthers to the state semifinals. Aubrey Wallace, Maddie Boswell, Baylee Haugland, Cierra Shelton and Devynn Harris were also named to the All-Conference team from Am-Po.

Minco had four players selected to the team. Maddy Munn, Ceiley McComas, Cassidy Franklin and Carly Herndon were the four players selected.

Dibble's Shakota Housman, Ivy Spieker and Harleigh Sparks were also selected.
