Amber-Pocasset's Skylar Croskey scores during the team's game in Amber on Tuesday.

AMBER — The Amber-Pocasset Panthers picked up a big win.

Am-Po took on the Binger-Oney Bobcats in Amber on Tuesday and ended up with a 29-point victory. Led by Skylar Croskey’s 22 points, the Panthers earned a 57-28 victory over the Bobcats.

Am-Po’s 3-point shooting helped the team take an early lead in the first quarter. Jacob Hinkle and Kaleb Tampkins combined for three triples in the first quarter to help Am-Po carry a 15-9 lead to the second quarter.

Hinkle hit both of his triples in the first quarter and was second on the team in points. He scored all eight of his points in the first half.

The second quarter consisted of scoring runs from both teams, but the Panthers had the longer run. Am-Po scored the first 13 points of the quarter to take a 28-9 lead over its opponent.

After scoring four points in the first quarter, Croskey scored the first five points of the second quarter to give the Panthers a 20-9 lead over the Bobcats. The Bobcats finished the first half on a 7-0 scoring run to make the score 28-16 at halftime.

The Bobcats could not find an answer for stopping Croskey in the second half. Thirteen of his 22 points came in the final two quarters, and eight of those points came in the third quarter.

With the help of Croskey, the Panthers were able to build their lead to 16 points in the third quarter and eventually went to the fourth quarter with a 40-26 advantage.

An Am-Po basket in the fourth quarter pushed the team's lead to 20 points, and the Panthers were able to build on that 20-point lead. The Panthers outscored the Bobcats 17-2 in the fourth quarter and ended the game on a 15-0 scoring run.

The win over the Bobcats was the 16th of the season for the Panthers. Am-Po has Okarche on the schedule for Friday.
