Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) responded to a single car rollover accident in Grady County Wednesday evening that left one minor going to a hospital in Norman.
According to reports from OHP, the wreck occurred on County Road 2880, about two-tenths of a mile north of County Road 1320 and two miles east and two miles north of Chickasha.
A 17-year-old juvenile of Chickasha drove the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup southbound when he lost control and rolled the vehicle one half time.
The driver was transported by POV to Normal Regional Hospital where he was admitted in fair condition with arm injuries.
The passenger of the vehicle was not injured.
Reports from OHP indicate the condition of the driver was normal but the vehicle was traveling at an “unsafe speed for the type of roadway,” which was gravel.
Both passengers inside the vehicle had on their seatbelt and airbags didn’t deploy.
OHP, Friend Fire Department, Chickasha Fire and EMS and Grady County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the scene.
