An Alex man died Tuesday in a one vehicle accident near Ninnekah.

Dennis Edward Morris, 35, was reportedly north bound on CS 2870 when the road curved west into CR 1450. Morris lost control in the curve and rolled his one ton Ford pickup one and a half times into a field.

Without a seat belt, Morris was ejected and landed 15 feet away. The victim was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital by ambulance and then transferred to OU Medical Center where he was admitted with head and trunk internal injuries.

Morris later died at the hospital. In his preliminary report, Trooper Stan McConnell cites excessive speed as the probable cause of the accident.
