A 32-year-old Gracemont man was airlifted to an Oklahoma City hospital Tuesday after his motorcycle was struck from behind on U.S. 281.

Records show that 81-year-old Willie Salyer, Minco, ran into the back of Coty Pack's motorcycle after he had slowed down for a person flagging down traffic, half mile south of County Street 2670 in Caddo County.

The motorcycle continued about 65 feet before the driver fell off, reported Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Thomas Setters.

Pack was originally transported to Physicians ER by the Anadarko EMS and was later transferred to OU Medical Center via a medical helicopter. He was listed in good condition with internal and external trunk injuries and arm and leg injuries.

Salyer was not injured.
