• First of a series

The first of the six houses featured on the 2008 Christmas Tour of Homes is located at 103 Maple Lane.

It was built in 1959 by Ruben Cochran for Myron and Jessie Kinley. Architects were Leslie G. Brauer and Maurice A. Wood. Andy and Carol Farl purchased the home in 1997. This unique two bedroom two bathroom home has 3,000 square feet and has all the amenities including cathedral ceilings, slate floors, a guest house and a shop building. Off the master bedroom and bath is an atrium and Andy has added a full sauna. The second bedroom and bath holds Carol’s Wizard of Oz collection and full wall mural done by local artist Ila Watson.

Andy also built Carol a green house and koi pond since outdoors and gardening are Carol’s favorite hobbies. The home is decorated for Christmas by Carol’s cousin Derrell Harris, a decorator who has worked for Christopher Radko and has been featured in Good Housekeeping, Forbes, Town and Country, Southern Accents and the New York Times. You won’t want to miss the home as you will be totally delighted.
