Swanberg set for activity center

College Heights Baptist Church in Chickasha presents Christian humorist Dennis Swanberg who specializes in side-splitting humor with a soul-building message. He will appear at the Chickasha High School Activity Center auditorium at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11. The show is free and all are welcome.

Bible study group meets on Mondays

The Chickasha Bible study group will meet every Monday at 7 p.m. at the Chickasha Public Library, 527 Iowa. Refreshments will be served.

First Missionary Baptist Church in Pocasset Oklahoma has two items of interest for people wanting help in getting out of debt and for people who need to order Angel food. Financial Peace University will start this Sunday Evening January 11. Please contact Denice Riley at 222-4523 for more information. Angel Food orders will be taken at the Church on Sunday January 11 from 4-6 p.m. and again on Monday January 12 from 9-11 a.m. pickup will be Saturday the 17th at 10:30 a.m.

Open House set for Jan. 12

The New Hope Christian Life Center, located at 29th and Country Club Road, will hold an open house beginning at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12 to introduce a new faith-based program to help those suffering from addiction. The courts, the Department of Probation and the Department of Corrections will work together with the center. The program is open to anyone who needs it as well as family members.
