LaForge sells Best Western

The Best Western Hotel of Chickasha is under new ownership after the sell of the property by Steve LaForge to the Johnson Family of Alaska.

“I really enjoyed the years I’ve had the hotel, it was just to time consuming for the plans I have,” said LaForge.

“We were able to make several improvements to it in the few years I had it, making it the premier hotel in Chickasha. And I’m confident the new owner will continue and in some cases finish improving the property to maintain its status as the best place to stay in town,” added LaForge.

Chuck Phelps, the General Manager of the Best Western Inn, said, “We have plans to finish the 45 rooms that still need remodeling and plan to make some other changes that will improve the overall experience for our customers. We have retained all staff positions with the exception of the bar area. In that area we are in the process of applying for the proper permits under the new owner.”
