After months of negotiation between teachers and the Chickasha Board of Education, the decision to approve or not approve ratifying the contract associated with the Chickasha United Teachers Association for the 2011-2012 school term will come before the board during the regular school board meeting on Dec. 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chickasha School District building.
The board will also consider taking necessary action to revise the workplace drug and alcohol testing policy. This will be a first reading and no final decisions are expected.
Other items to be discussed at the meeting include:
• Out of district travel request for the high school robotics team.
• Approve courses from Canadian Valley Technology Center for high school credit Oklahoma State Department of Education Schools Meals Initiative Review.
• Approve change orders on the New Early Childhood Center for signage for monument and change lighting in common areas of each wing.
•Approve or not approve a bid for playground equipment associated with the New Bill Wallace Early Childhood Center.
