In the week before the FIFA World Cup starts next month, local kids can get in on the action with the Chickasha Soccer Camp.
The camp, organized by Chickasha High School soccer, runs June 2-5 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Hampton Field, just across W. Illinois Avenue from the high school. Coaches Bethany Goble and Scott Parkinson will run the camp. Players of all skill levels are invited to learn skills such as dribbling, free kicks, goal keeping and ball control in a fun environment.
Camp registration is $80, which includes a t-shirt and a ball for each camper.
Applications can be acquired by e-mailing Goble at email@example.com. The deadline is May 26.
