What can brown do for you? Pay car repairs for starters.

A Chickasha resident was transported to the hospital Thursday after being involved in an accident with a UPS truck. The accident occurred about 4 p.m. on the corner of 6th Street and Missouri when a UPS truck failed to yield at a stop sign and struck a pick up driven by Carey “Cabo” Wilkerson.

Wilkerson was alert and talking after the accident. Officer Scott Weaver said Wilkerson’s air bags deployed so he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be checked out. The UPS driver was unharmed.

Wilkerson received two broken wrists in the accident and slight burns on his arms from the air bags.

This morning he was resting at home, and when asked how he was going to get along with two broken wrists he laughed and said, “I’ve just got a good wife.”

Seat belts in both vehicles were in use.

The UPS driver received a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign.
