A man wielding a 2x4 left a Chickasha gas station in shambles on Monday night. 

Chickasha Police responded to the Gasmart North Valero just after 10:30 p.m., shortly after the incident. They found multiple shelves knocked over, broken glass cases and merchandise spilled all over the floor. 

On the surveillance video, a man later identified as Zachary Ervin can be seen entering the store quickly with a large piece of wood in his hands. 

Ervin began the destruction spree by striking the cashier counter. Ervin then overturned a display shelf full of merchandise before he turned around to smash the glass on the sandwich cooler. He then ran down the middle aisle and struck the energy drink cooler, breaking the glass. 

Ervin continued to thrash and overturn shelves and throw merchandise around before finally exiting the store. 

Ervin was located by Chickasha Police in the area of Texas Ave. and 7th St., an incident report said. 

Ervin was transported to the Grady County Jail and faces charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious injury/destruction to property over $1,000, a felony.
