A Verden pedestrian is in critical condition after she was hit by a pickup on Thursday evening.
The collision took place around 8:30 p.m. on US62, about a mile west of Verden in Caddo County, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian, Kaylene Slatten, 69, was transported by Air Evac to OU Medical Center. Slatten was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg, trunk internal and external injuries, the OHP report said.
The driver was not injured and was under normal condition according to OHP. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
In addition to OHP, Verden First Responders, the Caddo County Sheriff's Office and Anadarko EMS responded to the scene.
The road was closed for about an hour.
