Two men were injured after a box truck hit a bridge abutment on the H.E. Bailey Turnpike five miles north of Chickasha. 

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, hit a guardrail and then struck the bridge near mile marker 90. 

The driver was ejected about 47 feet from the vehicle after the impact. A passenger was pinned. 

The driver, Drake White, 27, of Mustang, was transported via AirEvac to the OU Medical Trauma Center in Oklahoma City were he was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg and internal and external trunk injuries, 

The passenger, Corey Jackson, 43, of Oklahoma City was freed by the Chickasha Fire Department Jaws of Life. He was transported by Tuttle EMS to Norman Regional Hospital where he was treated and released with head and arm injuries. 

Neither the driver or passenger were wearing their seatbelt, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
