SQ 802 to be discussed at Grady County Republican Party meeting

A ballot item concerning Medicaid could be on the ballot in 2020. Residents can learn more at the next Grady County Republican Party meeting.

The proposed Medicaid Expansion Ballot Initiative (SQ 802) would expand Oklahoma's Medicaid program to include certain low-income adults between the ages of 18 and 65 whose income does not exceed 133% of the federal poverty level, as permitted under federal Medicaid laws. The proposition was filed in April.

The Grady County Republican Party will hold their June meeting at 6:30 p.m. on June 20 at Canadian Valley Technology Center Chickasha Campus.

Senator Greg McCortny will be the guest speaker on the topic.

District Attorney Jason Hicks will also speak on a separate topic in a presentation "Threats and Pitfalls Facing Our State Relating to Criminal Justice.
