December is here and the elves at Santa's Workshop are busy preparing a merry Christmas for underprivileged children in the community.
Every year, volunteers lend a hand by transporting the gifts to a drop-off point.
This year, Santa's Toy Run has been slated for noon on Saturday, Dec. 14. Volunteers will meet at the Grady County Fairgrounds. The ride will begin at 1 p.m. All modes of transportation are welcome including cars, motorcycles and trucks.
Those who would like to contribute but are unable to participate in the ride may bring new, unwrapped toys to the CVS parking lot between 1 and 4 p.m.
Following the toy run and drop-off, the Eagles Lodge will host a fundraising dinner, which includes entertainment.
This year, Santa's Workshop will be located at 3001 W. Grand Ave. Shopping is by appointment only. Shopping dates are between Dec. 17 and 21.
Applications for those needing assistance with Christmas presents are available at the Department of Human Services or the Grady County Health Department.
