A Rush Springs man was pronounced dead at the scene after his pickup crashed into a tree late Monday night.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reports that Kyle Gene Gifford, 35, was westbound on County Road 1590, about four miles south of Rush Springs. His pickup ran off the road for an unknown reason and struck a tree. OHP reports Gifford was ejected from the driver side window.
OHP's report lists driving under the influence of alcohol as the cause of the collision.
Gifford was pronounced dead at the scene by Rush Springs EMS due to internal and external injuries. He was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Oklahoma City.
