'Recognizing impairment' seminar to be held at CVTC

Canadian Valley Technology Center will be holding a seminar later this month called "Recognizing Impairment" in relation to new medical marijuana laws.

The meeting will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Jan. 31 in the Helen Ward Seminar Center at CVTech at the Chickasha Campus at 1401 Michigan Ave.

This seminar will be led by Mark Woodward, spokesperson for the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics. Topics of discussion will include determining impairment, how individuals cover up impairment and how a suspected impairment may be lawfully handled, according to a release from CVTech.

The meeting is free and open to business owners, supervisors, teachers and parents who may want to learn how to better evaluate and respond to possible impairment issues.

The seminar is free but reservations are requested. Those who wish to attend may call Lisa Novotny at 405-222-7552 to reserve seats.
