Every little digit counts when temperatures exceed 100 degrees.
Grady County may be getting a break from the triple digit temperatures beginning Tuesday.
However, Friday through Sunday, there could be a return to a triple digit heat index.
At the time of this report, the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures to stay under 100 degrees, hovering in the mid to high 90s in Chickasha.
On Tuesday, there is a 30% chance of thunderstorms with increasing clouds. Severe weather is unlikely. The lows this week could hover in the high 60s to low 70s, giving air conditioners a bit of a break.
The rest of the week is expected to be sunny with temperatures currently forecast between 95 and 97 degrees. On Saturday and Sunday, this increases a smidge up to 98 on Saturday and 99 on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
