High winds damaged 11 electrical poles on 29th St. this morning between Georgia Ave. and Grand Ave.
Due to the extent of the damage and because each pole is a "double circuit" pole, it could take most of the day to restore electricity for 790 residents, Tim Hushbeck, External Affairs Manager with American Electric Power, said.
"When you're replacing poles like that, it just takes some time," he said
That number was higher this morning, but PSO was able to recover electricity for many residents.
Those with extenuating circumstances are asked to contact PSO.
