History buffs and ice cream fans are in for a double scoop next Saturday.
Homemade Ice Cream will be served at the Annual Pikes Peak School Social at 5 p.m. on July 27.
The Pikes Peak School is a two-room school house that was operational until 1958. It is located at at 13510 ECR 1520.
Kent Turner with PASS representatives will be planning and overseeing fun activities on the large play area behind the rural school museum in Erin Springs across from the Murray Lindsay Mansion.
Attendees will enjoy air-conditioning inside the two-room school chatting with friends and making new acquaintances or join the outside festivities. Share this information with others and encourage them to bring their children and grandchildren to enjoy this special evening.
Pikes Peak History books will be on sale and you can speak with the author about the many interesting stories in the book. This is the Annual Fundraiser to assist with maintenance of the yard and the building.
