Chickasha Police have arrested a man after an explosive device was found in his car's glovebox.
Police learned that Christopher Michael Lee, 41, of Wister was exhibiting bizarre stalking behavior and in possession of an explosive device in his car.
Authorities responded to the Holiday Inn Express in Chickasha on Friday afternoon. Lee's vehicle was isolated and searched. Officers found a small, viable explosive device in the glovebox.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad responded to the scene, recovered the device and took it for destruction, according to a report from the Chickasha Police Department.
Two other subjects at the scene were detained and released when it was determined they had no knowledge of the explosive device.
Lee is facing charges of stalking and possession of an explosive device.
Chickasha Police say there is no further danger to the public and the incident appears to be isolated.
The Grady County Sheriff's Department also assisted in safely concluding the incident.
