The National Weather Service announced on Thursday that the flood warning for Grady, Caddo and Garvin County will be extended to Monday morning.
The flood warning continues for the Washita River in Anadarko, which was measured at 18.3 feet on Thursday afternoon. The flood stage for the Washita River is projected at 19 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
The river may rise above the flood stage on Friday morning and crest near 19.7 on Saturday morning and fall below the flood stage by early Monday, NWS said.
If the Washita River were to reach 20 feet, minor flooding could damage farm property and block rural roads in eastern Caddo County and western Grady County. Moreover, low-lying fields could become flooded, according to NWS.
