KATT Radio will be hosting blood drives across Oklahoma this Saturday, including Chickasha.
The blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University of Science and Arts Ballroom on Jan. 11. Donors will receive a collector's edition KATT '20s t-shirt.
According to the Oklahoma Blood Institute, KATT Radio was the first media outlet in Oklahoma to partner with the blood institute in 1985. Over more than 30 years, participants have saved 250,000 lives.
“Oklahoma Blood Institute is so appreciative and thankful for the KATT’s priceless community partnership,” John Armitage, M.D., president and CEO of Oklahoma Blood Institute, said. “January is National Blood Donor Month, and a time when winter weather and flu can impact the blood supply. Right now, patients are certainly counting on the KATT’s loyal listeners to ensure hospitals are stocked with life-saving blood.”
